Pasos cruciales en la instalación de una grúa giratoria: Seguridad y eficacia

Jib cranes, highly capable lifting tools extensively used in construction and transportation sectors, might seem compact but their substantial tonnage makes even the smallest missteps during installation potentially catastrophic. Every component, each screw, has a direct impact on the future operation of the crane. With this in mind, this article aims to guide you through the vital considerations during a jib crane installation.

Uphold Vertical Installation of the Pillar:

First and foremost, it’s essential to ensure the pillar is vertically installed. It’s a good practice to examine its vertical alignment from multiple perspectives to be absolutely sure.

    Maintain a Level Ground Surface:

The installation ground must be flat and free of debris. If you’re working with a tiled surface, consider adding a suitable mat to increase friction, enhancing the overall stability.

    Secure Jib Crane’s Stability:

The jib crane, being a robust steel structure, demands a guarantee of stability during installation. Don’t rush into installing the crane on an unstable concrete base; this can lead the crane’s weight to exceed the ground’s stress limit, causing potential surface collapse or even toppling of the crane.

    Check Ground’s Load-bearing Capacity:

Before you begin installation, it’s crucial to ascertain whether the ground’s load-bearing capacity meets the necessary standards. If you’re using reinforced concrete to secure the pillar, the foundation should be adequately prepared. This ensures the jib crane’s pillar is firmly fixed, paving the way for safe operation in the future.

Ensure Tight Fastening of the Nut:

The nut securing the screw cylinder must be tightened effectively. Common hook wrenches may not suffice for this task; consider using an extended round pipe to exert more force, and periodically check for any nut loosening during the hoisting process.

    Regulate Arm Installation Position:

    Jib crane Installation

The installation position of the arm on the pillar should be neither too high nor too low as it could reduce the pillar’s load-bearing capacity and risk the crane toppling. Ideally, the angle between the diagonal arm and the pillar should be kept within 45 degrees to prevent an increase in the pillar’s load.

Ensure Smooth Rotation and Timely Maintenance:

The arm, when fitted onto the pillar, should rotate freely. You might consider applying some lubricating grease for better performance. If any deformation in the pillar is detected, it should be replaced promptly.

Remember, each type of jib crane might require different installation methods, but the key points outlined above remain constant. For those less familiar with the process, opting for a full-service jib crane manufacturer, from production to delivery and personal installation, might be the best choice.
