    Introduction

Guide rail hydraulic freight elevators may encounter issues with slowing speeds in daily use. This article will explore the causes and provide corresponding methods to increase speed.

1.Reasons for Slowing Speed of Hydraulic Freight Elevators

The reasons for the slowing speed of hydraulic freight elevators include:

    a. Overload

Ensure to understand the maximum load capacity of the hydraulic freight elevator before use and avoid exceeding it.

    b. Severe Oil Leakage from Gear Pump Station

Inspect the gear pump for severe oil leakage before use. If found, replace the pump’s sealing ring.

    c. Damaged Gear Pump Producing Oil Without Pressure

Replace the gear pump if it is damaged and consult the manufacturer for the appropriate model.

    d. Insufficient Hydraulic Oil

2.Solutions for Slowing Speed of Guide Rail Freight Elevators:

The rising speed of guide rail freight elevators is faster than other lifting devices when new. However, with different usage methods and over time, their speed tends to decrease. Here are ways to adjust it:

    a. Check the Hydraulic System Pressure

Only when the hydraulic guide rail freight elevator cannot start with a load, check the hydraulic system pressure. Adjust the overflow valve setting if the pressure is below the normal range.

    b. Replace Old Hydraulic Oil

Over time, hydraulic oil may contain impurities or degrade. Inspect the oil for solid particles, discoloration, or odor. Replace the hydraulic oil if necessary.

    c. Inspect Hydraulic Pipelines

Ensure the hydraulic pipelines are clear. Check for blockages or sticking in hydraulic valves, including check valves, electromagnetic directional valves, proportional control valves, and overflow valves. Clean or replace hydraulic valves if needed.

    d. Check the Hydraulic Pump and System for Leaks

Inspect the hydraulic pump’s oil flow stability if the platform speed slows down. Contact the manufacturer if there are issues. Also, check for leaks in hydraulic pipes, joints, cylinders, and valve connections. Replace gaskets or wrap with Teflon tape if there’s oil leakage. Do not adjust the overflow valve on your own.

3.Methods to Increase Speed of Hydraulic Freight Elevators

How to effectively adjust the speed of freight elevators?

Freight elevators can be divided into fixed hydraulic freight elevators and mobile hydraulic freight elevators, each with different models and load capacities. The running speed of their platforms also varies. Here’s how to adjust the lifting speed effectively:

    a. Adjust Hydraulic Oil Flow to the Cylinder

The flow of hydraulic oil can be adjusted by modifying the motor speed or electro-hydraulic proportional valve. The longer the control time of the hydraulic oil pipe, the longer the rising time. Within the design limits, adjust the size of the oil transmission pipe based on the power device adjustment to ensure the equipment meets normal requirements and safety.

    b. Load Carrying Capacity

The tonnage of goods transported at a time also affects the lifting speed. Reaching the appropriate value for transporting goods on the lifting platform is key to speed. Excessively heavy weights will impact speed, as will too light a load. For cylinder control and size, reduce the size as much as possible within design requirements. The smaller the cylinder size, the faster the rising speed.
